Starting to Post again

Hello everyone, Thanks for visiting my blog posts. Sorry for the delay in posting more pictures. Been pretty busy lately but thats not a real excuse. I will start the posting again a little later today.

My sweetheart and I went on a little trip to Nags Head on the outer banks in North Carolina. Now I know that its a bad place to take a good camera due to the sand and salt but extra care was taken to prevent any damage to the camera's.

It was a great trip, my baby really had a great time. We got some body boards and road those massive waves. My poor baby was so happy to be in the ocean she had forgotten the golden rule of never turn your back to the ocean. The funny thing is that the water was flat, waves at about 8 inches high until she turned her back, LOL, this wave of about 2 to 3 foot high comes rolling in. I tried to warn her but too late. Poor thing has a big bruise one her back from where she hit the bottom.

On the second morning my baby woke up and said she smelled smoke, this was about 2 am, I was still sleepy and told her yes I know, but there is nothing to worry about, but for the life of me I could not remember why until in the morning when I remembered reading about a fire caused by a lighning strike earlier that week. When I walked out side I noted that the wind had changed direction and was blowing the smoke from the mainland to the outer banks. The news said if you do not need to go outside don't, the air is in code red. We looked out the window and could not even see the ocean, the smoke was so thick it blocked the view. We decided to head back home earlier than planned due to the advancing thunder storms and the smoke. By the time we left, about 10 am, the wind had changed directions again and the smoke cleared up but the thunder storms had moved in.

I will be posting those pictures along with the stories. Yes, I am going to try my hand at writing. After being a tecnical writer for so long I find it a little difficult to convert back to story telling. With that said, any suggestions or assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Criticism is always welcome. None will be taken personally.
