Photos of some of the architecture in Occoquan down some of the side streets.
Mon'kee See photography is what I see and are my feelings as we journey through our life, we take every part as an adventure. This is how I see life and the adventures my wife and I have. We love the outdoors, hiking, Kayaking, beaches, the mountains and everything in between. We try to never miss a chance for a new adventure.

The other side of Occoquan
Springtime is fantastic, beautiful warm day in a great little town. We walked and shopped for about three hours. The shops here have a wide variety of items, art, beads, antiques and jewelry. They are also the host to one of Virginia's finest Art and Craft shows every spring and fall. There are many little area's that one can sit and enjoy the weather, scenery or contimplate on your favorite subject, no matter what the subject.
I hope that you can find the time to come visit for a great relaxing day.

The Awakening at the National Harbor
I was able to spend some time at the National Harbor in Maryland. It was a great stay and I was able to really study this display. It is a great display and if you ever get the chance to visit the Washington DC area this is a must see. The artist really captured the essence of The Awakening. The best part is that this is not one of those "Keep Off" exhibits but a total hands on experience.
A great place to sit and just contemplate, it is really a peaceful experience.

Really Cool Boats
While at a convention at the national harbor in Maryland I had the opportunity to get these pictures of some really cool boats.
Yes, that is a 50 cal mounted on the right side of it. It looks as though it is a remote control system.
Again, look at the top of this one, it has a 50 cal on it.
These really caught my attention, they look like they are designed for river or harbor protection. Very stealthy boats.

Local Birds of Spring
With spring coming, actually here, the birds are coming out. Here are a few photos of someof the local birds of Virginia. You really have to watch out for the bigger Turkey Buzzards. They are big, ugly and can get a little aggressive. They can also cause serious damage to property that they decide to make as a home.

Spring Time in Occoquan
Occoquan Virginia is a quaint little town on the Occoquan River. It has a very unique history being that it was a major shipping port. If you ever visit Virginia I strongly suggest that you take a little bit of time and visit this town. Here are a few pictures that I took today, April 7, 2011.
We like to walk around this town at anytime of year, they have good resturants and specialty shops. It is a very peaceful town that usually has a lot going on.
